We are very happy to announce a live-streamed Zoom seminar class taught by Dan Nishina Sensei this Saturday, February 27th, at 12 pm CDT | 19:00 CET | 6 pm UTC!

Dan Nishina Sensei BioDan Nishina Sensei, 5th Dan Aikikai, relocated to Portland in October 2019 after many years in Japan, practicing at Aikikai Hombu Dojo and leading his own group, Aikido Yoshikaze. Starting his Aikido journey at age 15 in the Shingu lineage in the US, Nishina Sensei has been influenced by, among others, Saotome, Ikeda, and Miyamoto Shihans. Nishina Sensei first encountered Endo Seishiro Shihan in 1996, and studies under him primarily. Nishina Sensei strives for Aikido that is broad, light, and sharp.

Jo Work

Class Description:

The class will focus on solo and paired jo work.

What to Bring to Class:

Please bring a jo.

No partner necessary, all exercises can be practiced solo.
