Adult classes are offered regularly throughout the week. We encourage prospective adult students to join us any time for a free basics class (or even a few) to see what Aikido practice is like (see our schedule), and for new students, we offer a New Student Special. For students without a keiko-gi (practice uniform), we ask that T-shirts and sweat pants be worn to allow easy freedom of movement. No shorts or jeans, please.
Besides our regular adult classes, private lessons with our chief instructor, Brian Levy Sensei are available. We host special seminars regularly with high-ranking Aikido instructors from around the world (including some of our principal teachers from Sweden), and we regularly participate in area ‘friendship’ seminars with other Aikido dojos in the area.
We also make our dojo available for others who teach different, related disciplines, including tai chi, qigong, yoga, and daito-ryu aikijujitsu.
DUES & FEES
Regular monthly dues for adult members are $120, and $105 for full-time students, members of the military or police, seniors (over age 60), teachers, employees of non-profit organizations, and for additional adult family members.
Though dues may be paid by check or cash, we prefer that members use credit or debit cards, set for recurring payments on the 1st or 15th of each month. We do not require monthly contracts.
Our chief instructor, Brian Levy Sensei, is available for private lessons. One-hour lessons for dojo members are $70, and $85 for non-members. Private lessons allow more in-depth, individualized study. Simply contact us for more information.
Visiting Aikido students are always welcome to practice with us. Our mat fee is $20 per day. We also offer keiko-gi (practice uniforms) for both children ($35) and adults ($65).
