We are very excited to invite you to New Orleans (Sept 15-17) for a seminar with Sensei(s) Charles Colten and Brian Levy, in which they will share inspiration and insights from their most recent practice with their teacher, Endo Shihan, at this year’s summer seminar in Saku, Japan!

Charles Colten Sensei, 5th Dan and Founder and Director of Aikido in the Schools, is a direct student (deshi) to Endo Shihan and has also been greatly influenced by other mentors including Jan Nevelius Shihan and Sensei(s) Jorma Lyly, Seigo Okamoto, and Mary Heiny.

As an eternal student who is deeply informed by the living world, he considers the study, practice, and sharing of Aikido as “his lens, his window, his mirror, his medicine…and an endless wellspring of knowledge, wisdom, and joy.”

Brian Levy Sensei, 5th Dan, is Chief Instructor/Dojo Cho of NOLA Aikido in New Orleans and has been practicing Aikido for over 25 years in the US, Europe and Asia. He has also pursued in-depth studies of other arts, including Qigong, Tai Chi and Daito-ryu Aikijujitsu. Endo Seishiro Shihan, Jan Nevelius Shihan, and Jorma Lyly Sensei have provided him with guidance, inspiration and creativity on his Aiki path. He places a strong emphasis on connection, gentleness, and effortless movement, as well as the joy of moving beyond the known into the surprising creativity of this moment.
