Update on Practice at NOLA Aikido: July 24, 2021

Current Class Offerings and COVID Safety Guidelines

Information about indoor adult and children’s classes:

  •  Please email a photo of the front of your or your child’s CDC vaccination card after the second dose of Pfizer or Moderna or single dose of Johnson and Johnson (and you or your child can come practice indoors 2 weeks after the last dose.)
  • And also please fill out our new online waiver (mobile-optimized so you can do it by phone if you like.)
  • As per CDC guidance and local mandate, masks are currently required during the entire time we are in the building together.
  • Hand sanitizer will be provided at the edge of the mats, in the bathroom, as well as in the changing rooms.
  • We will be sanitizing the mats after each class using a special cleaner for that purpose.
  • The outer door will be kept open for better ventilation and fans will be used to create more airflow.
  • We will be keeping careful attendance records for contact tracing, and the dojo must be notified if you or your child test positive or have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
  • See our current class schedule for which classes would be best-suited for you or your child.
  • Please contact us with any questions or concerns.

Information about outdoor adult and children’s classes:

  • Students from the same household may practice together with full contact.
  • We will maintain at least 6 feet distance between each ‘COVID pod.’
  • You may wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing or a keiko-gi (uniform)
  • As per CDC and local guidelines, masks are optional for outdoor practice.
  • We will be keeping careful attendance records for contact tracing, and the dojo must be notified if you test positive or have been exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID-19.
  • See our current class schedule for current outdoor class offerings.
  • Please contact us with any questions or concerns.

See you at practice!
