Each year several of us from NOLA Aikido head over to Sweden for a week of wonderful practice with Jan Nevelius Shihan and Jorma Lyly Sensei and the wide community of Aikidoka from all over the world.
For those of us not going this year, we thought we’d try something new.
The idea is a day of joyful exploration of not just Aikido but also qigong and weapons work, like at Lillsved, and, as well as a chance to deepen and enjoy our wonderful Aikido community.
So on Saturday the 29th of July we’ll hold our inaugural one-day Aikido camp!
This year Stephen Haedicke and Clebert LeBlanc will teach, alternating back and forth and building off of each other, like we do at Lillsved.
The line-up will include: tai chi/qigong, jo, bokken, and, of course, a lot of great Aikido practice!
Between classes there will be lunch in the dojo (potluck/BYOS).
There will be no cost for the day of practice to dojo members and others pay only $20 for the full day of practice.
All are warmly welcome!
Here is the schedule for this year:
9:30 – 10 am Qigong with Clebert
10 -10:30 am Jo with Stephen
10:30 – 11 am Bokken with Clebert
11 – 11:30 am Aikido with Stephen
11:30 – 12 pm Aikido with Clebert
12 -2 pm Lunch in Dojo (Potluck or BYOS)
2 – 3 pm Aikido with Stephen
3 – 4 pm Aikido with Clebert
